Located in the northeast of the Vietnam, Lang Son is a mountainous province, home to many ethnic groups such as Nung, Tay and Kinh, Dao, Hoa, San Chay , which contributes to the natural diversity and rich cultural identity of Xu Lang.
Lang Son has regional sub-tropical climate with a relatively cold winters lasting 4-5 months and snow sometimes appears on Mau Son mountain summit. Hottest month record a temperature of 27°C only.
Lang Son has a number of natural and cultural attractions such as Cho Ky Lua (Donkey Market), Tam Thanh and Nhi Thanh caves, ice-covered Mau Son peak and To Thi Mount associated with a legend about a faithful wife waiting for husband until being petrified into a rocky mountain. Lang Son also boasts diverse cuisine, especially the sour noodle variation.
